Beautiful drag racer or cruise car. Motor is a 468 big block, GM steel crank, 6.135 Eagle H-Beam rods, with Manley 12.5 to 1 pistons, Hastings race rings, King race bearings and Mellling oil pump with 7 qt pan.
Cam shaft is a Crower solid roller nitrous cam with 720 lift and double roller timing chain. Heads are fully ported square port aluminum, made by Pro Comp, with S/S valves. Dart guide plates and stud girdles, with Manley push rods, and Crane 1.7 roller rockers.
Intake is a Victor 454 R. Carb is a 1050 Holley Dominator.
NEW Pro Comp electric water pump. NOS Big Shot plate with purge. SFI approved fly wheel and harmonic balancer.
Transmission is a stock case 1.76 Powerglide with a TCI Sportsman transbrake and 4500 Bradco nitrous converter, and a quarter stick shifter.
The rear end was built by J & J Race Cars. It’s fully braced, 9″ with 33 spline axles, full spool with 4.11 gears.
Rear suspension is a 4-link with Strange coilovers.
Front suspension is Moroso springs and drag shocks, and Wilwood front disc brakes.
Rear 1/4 panels were professionally stretched to fit the tires when the car was tubbed. BRAND NEW 31-14-15 Hoosier SLICKS.
10 pt roll cage, fully carpeted interior with SS Camaro bucket seats. Much of the interior is original, including the dash and gauges. added custom tach, shift light, oil pressure, and water temp gauges. Car has new Painless wiring kit, all lights, turn signals, and brake lights work like factory.
The car has made about 10 (1/4 mi) passes on this motor. Best pass without nitrous is 10.0 @135mph. About 5 (1/8 mi) passes on nitrous with 180 hp jets. Best time was 5.70 @125mph with 1.25 60ft on unprepared track. Upping nitrous would put this car into 8’s (no joke) and still be street legal.
Seriously impressive- never seen another Camaro like it and include so many high-end add-ons and attention to detail under the hood. It shows in it’s performance, I felt privileged to own it.
